Heathcote Living Giving Philosophy

How We Give Back

At Heathcote Living, we believe that how you live matters.

The choices you make, the work you support and the way you share your resources all help shape the kind of world you want to live in.

We want to share our giving philosophy with you so you can better understand the values behind Heathcote Living and decide whether our work is something you would like to support, follow or collaborate with.

Our Philosophy

Focused Giving

We believe it is impossible to help everyone.

Each person and each business must choose where to direct their energy, attention and financial support.

For us, that focus is women and creativity.

We are especially drawn to projects, organizations and community efforts that encourage women's creative expression, artistic development and opportunities for growth through the arts.

Creativity changes lives.

Art gives people a voice, a sense of purpose and often a way to reconnect with themselves and others. Supporting women in the arts feels meaningful and aligned with the heart of Heathcote Living.

How We Give

A small percentage of profits from selected Heathcote Living products and creative work is set aside for giving.

This includes items such as:

  • Art prints
  • Greeting cards
  • Seasonal cards
  • Coloring books
  • Creative products sold through third-party platforms

Some of these works were originally created under Alison Hazel Art and now continue as part of the wider Heathcote Living umbrella.

Modest

At the moment, our contributions are modest. We are still a growing independent creative business. Even so, we believe it is important to begin our giving practice now rather than waiting until some future milestone.

We hope our ability to give will grow alongside the business over time.

Supporting Local Communities

We also believe in supporting people and organizations within our local community whenever possible.

Local arts groups, women's initiatives and community-centered projects are especially close to our hearts because small acts of support can have a meaningful impact close to home.

Seasonal Giving

December

At Heathcote Living, we try to live in rhythm with the seasons and the natural movement of the year.

For this reason, our giving season currently takes place in December. It feels like a natural time for reflection, gratitude and generosity.

As Heathcote Living evolves, our approach may grow and change, but for now this seasonal practice feels aligned with our values and the way we choose to live.

Looking Ahead

From Now into the Future

We do not see giving as an afterthought.

We see it as part of building a thoughtful and intentional creative business from the beginning.

Thank you for being here and for supporting independent creative work.

Warmly,

Alison
